What is Moringa?

Moringa is a drought resistant plant that is native to Asia and Africa and the most cultivated species is Moringa Oleifera. It is also known as the drumstick tree, the ben oil tree or the horseradish tree but perhaps its most fitting name is The Miracle Tree because of its nutritional properties.

Is Moringa Vegan?

In a word yes. Rahva Moringa is 100% certified organic and 100% RAW.

Moringa leaves are between 30-40% protein, and contain 18 amino acids including all 9 essential amino acids (valine, lysine, leucine, histidine, isoleucine, methionine, threonine, phenylalanine, and tryptophan). These 9 essential amino acid can not be produced by the body so this makes moringa a complete plant based protein source, something seldom found in the plant world and perfect for Vegans, Vegetarians and people who regularly exercise and prefer plant based protein.

Who has certified Rahva Moringa Organic?

Rahva Moringa is certified by the the USA FSDA, the European ECOcert certification body and the UK Biodynamics Association.

What is Spirulina?

Spirulina is a microalgae that grows naturally in the wild in warm, fresh water lakes. Its deep blue-green color is what gives the water its greenish hue. Spirulina is also cultivated and harvested in man-made reservoirs. It is between 50% and 70% protein (much more than meat sources), and has 8 essential and 10 non-essential amino acids. Algae is essentially a microscopic plant so Spirulina is recognised and accepted as Vegetarian and Vegan friendly.

What is Turmeric?

Turmeric or Curcumin has been used in Asia for thousands of years and is a major part of Asian and Chinese medicine. Turmeric is the root stalk of a tropical plant that's part of the ginger family. One of the main components of the spice is a substance called curcumin which has potential healing properties.

There's definitely a growing body of scientific evidence that points to the potential health benefits of Turmeric. Thousands of years of Eastern medicine and anecdotal evidence suggest it has healing properties. Turmeric is Vegetarian and Vegan friendly.

What does Moringa taste like?

Rahva Moringa is made from pure organic potent Moringa leaves for the best nutritional content. Moringa has a strong earthy taste similar to Kale, we suggest you wash the supplements down with a large glass of water and that you mix the powder into food and smoothies. The tea has a much more subtle taste that is more pleasant on the pallet, especially the ginger and lime variations. If you are not sure on the taste don't let it ruin the amazing benefits and nutritional value you are getting by taking it.
